Support and FAQ

Installing, activating and getting the most out of PINCH-76. If your question is not here, write to us and a person replies within two working days.

Getting started

  1. Download. Get the PINCH-76 installer for Windows from your order e-mail or the download button on this site.
  2. Install. Close your DAW and run the installer. It places PINCH-76.vst3 in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Neva DSP\.
  3. Rescan. Open your DAW and rescan plug-ins. PINCH-76 appears under Neva DSP.
  4. Activate. Open the plug-in, click Activate and paste your key (it starts with NVP76-). Without a key the 14-day trial starts on its own.

Buying and licences

How do I receive my licence key?
Right after checkout you get an e-mail with your licence key and the download link. The key also appears on the confirmation page. If nothing arrives within 15 minutes, check your spam folder first.
Which payment methods can I use?
Checkout is run by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Depending on your country you can pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Is tax included in the price?
No. Prices are shown before tax. VAT or sales tax for your country is added at checkout and shown on your receipt.
Can I buy PINCH-76 as a gift?
Yes. Buy a licence and pass the key on. You can buy more than one licence with the same e-mail address.
What is your refund policy?
You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase. See the refund policy for the details.

Activation and computers

How many computers can I use?
One licence activates up to three computers at the same time. Deactivate a computer from the plug-in menu to free its seat.
Do I need to stay online?
No. Activation needs an internet connection once. After that PINCH-76 runs offline for 30 days at a time and checks in quietly when a connection is available.
I replaced my computer and forgot to deactivate the old one.
Write to us with your licence key and we will reset your activations. Each licence includes six resets a year.
What happens when the trial ends?
The plug-in keeps loading in your sessions, but audio passes through unprocessed until you activate a licence. Your settings are kept.

Installing and compatibility

Which DAWs are supported?
Any 64-bit DAW on Windows 10 or 11 that loads VST3 plug-ins, for example FL Studio, Ableton Live, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper and Bitwig.
Where is the plug-in installed?
The VST3 goes to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Neva DSP\PINCH-76.vst3. Presets and settings live in Documents\Neva DSP\PINCH-76.
My DAW does not show PINCH-76.
Close the DAW, check that the VST3 is in the folder above, then open the DAW and run a plug-in rescan. In FL Studio this is Options, Manage plugins, Find more plugins.
Is there a Mac version?
macOS with VST3 and AU is in development. Your licence will cover it at no extra cost.
How much CPU does it use?
Very little. One stereo instance at default settings uses about 1.4 % of one CPU core on a modern computer. Higher oversampling costs more, so use 1x or 2x while mixing and save 4x or 8x for the final render.

Updates and help

Are updates free?
All 1.x updates are free. The plug-in tells you when a new version is available.
How do I send a useful bug report?
Open the menu (☰), choose Copy system info and paste it into your e-mail. If we ask for logs, Open log folder shows them. Logs never leave your computer unless you send them.
Where is the manual?
Open the menu (☰) and choose User manual, or download the PDF from the PINCH-76 page.
